The Green Bay Marathon is an annual race event that takes place on the 3rd week of May in Green Bay, Wisconsin. == History == The Green Bay CellCom Marathon began in June 2000 by Gloria West. The current race director is Sean Ryan. The races included are a full marathon, a 1/2 marathon, a 5k race, and a children's race. The race that was held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 was called, due to excessive heat. This was the first year in the history of the race that this was done. Due to over-taxed medical personnel, the decision was made to call the race at approximately 9:35 a.m. after the 7:00 a.m. start.
